The match pool is the youngest of the two pools and as you can see from the photographs it is well established, it is approximately 3/4 of acre in size and is home to Bream, Carp, Chub, Gudgeon, Perch, Roach, Rudd & Tench.
Fish sizes vary from fingerlings to 6lbs Chub with a good selection of sizes in between, Carp go up to 8-9lbs. This pool will keep you busy all day long and is often used for the club competitions.
Common baits used in this pool are maggots, sweetcorn and pellets, although luncheon meat, dog biscuits, hemp and bread are also used.
The disabled access swim is right by the main entrance to the pools and is the same location for the safety buoy, there is also another floatation device by the entrance to the carp pool.
As you enter the pools just to your left is the toilet which has full disabled access, please leave it in the condition you found it, a little further round to the left is the phone box, where you can purchase your day tickets.
